California Girls Track athlete Reese Hogan praised social media during the weekend when she briefly arrived on the marker of first place during the podium ceremony and posed for a photo after losing against a transgender athlete in the triple jump.
Hogan, an athlete from Crean Lutheran High School, set a personal record and a school record in the triple jump to 37 feet, 2 inch during the competition on Saturday. It was in competition in Division 3 of the South Section of the Interscholastic Federation (CIF) in California.

The transgender athlete of secondary school Jurupa Valley beat Hogan over 4 feet. The athlete also won the long jump competition.
Hogan, with a medal around her neck, smiled as she approached first place once the ceremony is over. The junior received massive cheers in the video circulated around social media and praised him as the “real champion”.
The 16-year-old was one of those who declared to PK Press Club Digital last week that CIF officials made her and her athlete colleagues to withdraw their “Protect Girls Sports” t-shirts before meeting the prelimes of the southern CIF section.

She allegedly alleged that the officials made them feel that if they did not make their shirts, they would be disqualified from the event.
“It was not said, but it was implicit that if I do not withdraw my shirt at that time, then something could potentially happen in my place, it was not said, but it was implicit,” said Hogan. “Throughout the day, it was a little more strict … becoming a little more hostile with their voice … They never said anything to be disqualified, but it was a little implicit by the tone of their voice and the way they said things.”
Since the controversy to the preliminaries, the Trump administration has taken into account California and Governor Gavin Newsom.

The state has reversed the executive order of President Donald Trump to keep biological men outside the sports of girls and women. The CIF is already under an investigation by the title IX.
