Call to extend the deadline for declaring 48 -day declarations

Hyderabad:

The Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries (HCSTSI) urged the federal government to extend the 48 -day income file deadline, citing changes in the IRIS portal and the flood situation in Punjab, Kpk and Sindh. On Sunday, in a press release, the president of the Muhammad Saleem Memon Chamber argued that the desired relief was necessary to facilitate taxpayers and to prevent them from being subject to penalties and avoidable difficulties.

This year, he said that the FBR had introduced several new modifications, such as automated data download, interactive forms and a new verification mechanism in the IRIS income declaration deposit. However, he said that the system had not become completely functional. “Taxpayers and accountants experience connection problems, repeated error messages and unclear problems such as” reception value “errors.

Memon stressed that even the employees complained of having confronted difficulties on the portal.

“Strict membership on the current deadline, under these circumstances, would unfairly penalize thousands of people,” warned the chamber president.

While referring to the rain and flooding areas in the country, he said that the suspension of electricity, the Internet and the banking services has deprived traders and employees of access to their files and financial accounts. He added that it would be extremely ascending or even impossible for such a declaring to complete the tax file within the given time. The HCSTSI, he urged the government to immediately announce an extension.
