Jones and his compatriot Derek Brown created the “We-Back” system for head coach Tom Osborne. Jones and Brown were both i-backs and formed one of the best duos of university football bearers.
The pair raised an average of 329 yards per ground match on the way to lead the Nebraska to the Orange Bowl. No other duo has achieved an average of more yards per game that season than Jones and Brown.
After the illustrious Jones university career, he was selected in the third round of the NFL recovery in 1994 by the Raiders of Los Angeles.
