The International Cambridge Examination (CIE) and the British council canceled Cambridge o Level, IGCSE and International AS&A Level exams planned for today (Friday) in Muzaffarabad and Mirpur Cities of the Azad Jammu and Cashmire (AJK), Islamabad and Punjab province.
In a statement published on Thursday, he said that the difficult decision had been made in consultation with the authorities after examining the current security situation. “Our priority is to support student and staff safety and help students progress with their studies,” he said.
He indicated that the planned exams would take place elsewhere in Pakistan on Friday, May 9 will take place as planned if the security situation remains unchanged. “We will keep everyone up to date if there are changes.”
“When the examinations are canceled, we use our expertise and our well -established processes to make sure that we can assign fair notes so that students can progress,” added the press release.
He urged the people concerned to continue to follow and check the official pages of Cambridge and British Council Pakistan for any official update. “If you have any questions, please contact your school or customer services from the British council if you are a private candidate,” he added.
