- Framework laptop 16 Dual M.2 adapters combine four discs for massive capacity
- PCIe Gen4 provides faster data and a transparent multitasking
- Swappable components allow easy upgrades and prolonged conviviality
Framework has announced that its laptop 16 device could now install up to 26 TB of SSD Gen4 SuperFast storage.
This increase in capacity is obtained using a double M.2 SSD adapter alongside readers of 8 to high capacity WD_BLACK SN850X, allowing users to combine four discs (two pairs connected via double adapters) to reach the ability of Maximum storage.
The modular design philosophy of the framework laptop allows users to easily exchange components such as main tables, memory modules and even whole shells if necessary – helping to extend the lifespan of devices, To reduce waste and promote sustainability thanks to easier repairs.
Expansion of storage possibilities
The flexibility of framework here also takes advantage of PCIe Gen4 technology for faster access and transfer.
The modular design also promotes an open source community where developers contribute to new designs of modules and software solutions. According to Framework, the shell of open source graphics module has inspired new module developments, such as an online display input module.
Expanding his commitment to opening the equipment, Framework also launched the main draw -com DC-Roma RISC-V for the Laptop Framework 13.
Propelled by the Starfive JH7110 processor and based on the RISC-V ISA Open Source, this advice is designed mainly for developers who seek to accelerate the ecosystem of RISC-V software.
