Now, in a new statement shared on social media, Capcom has asked players not to share any spoilers from the game online before its release, stating that its legal team will send takedown notices to anyone in violation.
“A request from Capcom to the community. Please do not post or share pre-release leaks and spoilers for Resident Evil Requiem,” the studio said.
“We really want everyone to enjoy the story and experience of the game as much as possible. Our legal department will continue to issue takedown notices and removal notices in case of leaks to preserve your day one experience.
