Judge Muhammad Ali Mazhar observed that the wording in the verdicts of the anti -terrorist courts (ATC) in Lahore and Islamabad concerning the transfer of May 9 accused to the military guard was identical. This prompted Juma Jamal Khan Mandokhel to notice that he seems that the judges of ATC were weak in English.
A constitutional bench of seven members led by judge Amin UD-Din Khan heard intra-curtles calling the trial of civilians in the military court.
At the start of the hearing, lawyer for civil society Faisal Siddiqui argued that the commanders had submitted requests for transfer of May 9 accused for military trial. He noted that the request had started with a sentence that it was an official secret case in accordance with the initial investigation, said Faisal Siddiqui.
“This is an admission by the commander that the investigation was incomplete,” said Siddiqui. He also argued that ATC reasoning to transfer the accused to military guard is absurd.
He said the ATC administrative judge had made the order for giving custody of the accused for military trials. The ATC said the accused guilty before the investigation completed.

Faisal Siddiqui said the court could postpone the accused to the army but not from the administrative judge. The military can regain custody of the military officials involved in the murder and other crimes of the civil court under article 59 (1) of the Army Act.
Later, the court postponed the hearing until Monday.
