Chappell Roan plays a leading role during the 2025 Oscars watch party.

The news was confirmed by the legendary British singer himself as he took to Instagram and shared the lineup for his annual Oscar viewing party in support of the AIDS Foundation.
According to the post, the 26-year-old singer was announced as the sole artist in the event for this year’s edition of the watch party.
The viewing party will also be co-hosted by Jean Smart, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka to raise funds for AIDS research.
rolling stone reported that participants confirmed so far include Megan Thee Stallion, Hozier, Sharon Stone, Sean Penn and Mick Jagger.
In a statement to the publication, the legendary singer, who is one of the most acclaimed and successful solo artists of all time, said of Roan’s upcoming performance: “David (Elton’s husband ) and I are delighted to be reunited with friends and supporters once again.”
“We are honored to welcome the bold and authentic Chappell Roan as this year’s artist, whose artistry embodies the power of music to inspire change,” said Elton John.
