The NBA renown temple, Charles Barkley, was on the call for the male basketball match of Alma Mater Auburn on Wednesday against Ole Miss, and it did not hay words on the state of college education.

“I think we have to talk about university basketball,” he said. “I do not think that the Nile model is durable. Listen, I want all these children to get everything they can get. But by asking colleges to find $ 20, $ 30 million a year, especially some of the smallest schools, I don’t think it’s a lasting model.”
Nile was a controversial subject, and criticism of the system say that this creates inequalities because the largest schools can exceed the smallest during the recruitment of better prospects, to which Barkley alluded.
And although Barkley wants students-athletes to be paid, he thinks that the price of tuition fees in the country’s schools is too expensive.

“I love these children. I want them to succeed. But you have to understand, I try to tell people, most of these children must get free education, which is by far the most important thing,” said Barkley. “Because one of the big transvestites of this country is what we invoic to children to go to university. The initiative of education data revealed that the inflation of school fees of the college reached an average of 3.63% per year of the 2010-2011 school year to 2022-23. And the cost of tuition fees in a public school or university, four years increased by 36.7% from 2010 to 2023.

In the past, university athletics has given free education a chance, mainly in schools in division I and universities with scholarships. But students who earn money via Nile were a conversation of several decades, especially given the benefits that institutions make certain programs that have a national attraction.
