- Chatgpt obtains new wellness features
- Users will be encouraged to take breaks during long sessions
- OPENAI Consults health professionals
AI chatbots are now regularly used for various types of emotional support – as therapists, for example, or as dating advisers – and Openai has announced new modifications to its Bot Chatgpt which should take care of the health and well -being of users.
“For us, helping you prosper means being there when you have trouble, helping you keep the time of your time and guide – do not decide – when you face personal challenges,” explains Openai in a new blog.
Several new features are deployed to encourage healthier interactions, including “soft reminders” during the “long sessions” that will ask you if it is time to take a break or if you prefer to continue to chat with AI.
OPENAI also says that Chatgpt will better identify “signs of mental or emotional distress”, and if they are detected, you will guide users to appropriate resources – rather than do anything to worsen the situation.
Personal decisions with high issues
Users ask important questions of life such as “Should I break with my boyfriend?” At AI these days – although it is not clear why they would think that a large language model would have something insightful to say about it.
When these types of questions about “personal decisions with high issues” appear, says Openai, Chatgpt will refrain from giving direct answers. Instead, this will help users to assess advantages and disadvantages and to think about their options.
In addition, Openai says he is talking to mental and physical health experts to better understand how to manage cats with people who could be in a vulnerable state of mind while they interact with Chatgpt.
These improvements are current work, the blog post is continuing, so you may not see all of these adjustments appear immediately. In the meantime, we are waiting for the long-term launch of GPT-5, which could appear in the coming weeks.
