China has made warm congratulations in Pakistan for the successful launch of its new remote sensing satellite of the Xichang satellite launch center, reaffirming their close bilateral cooperation in science and technology.
In a statement published on Thursday, the Chinese Embassy of Islamabad congratulated Pakistan following a tweet of the Minister of Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, who celebrated the milestone.
“Let this satellite further strengthen the capacities of our iron brother in the survey on land resources and the prevention and attenuation of disasters,” said the embassy in response.

The launch is considered to be a continuation of the deepening of strategic links between the two countries, in particular under the aegis of the Chinese-Pakistani Economic Corridor (CPEC), which includes collaboration in space technology.
Pakistan has successfully launched its latest remote sensing satellite at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center (XSLC) in China, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The launch was carried out by Suparco, the National Space Agency of Pakistan, in collaboration with China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) and Microsat China.
The ministry said that the satellite would considerably improve the capacity of Pakistan to observe the land with high resolution and 24th 24th. It will support a range of fields, including disaster management, town planning, environmental protection, agricultural surveillance, food security, climate change analysis and water resources management.
The satellite is part of an integrated earth observation system and should stimulate the efforts of socio-economic development and sustainability of Pakistan.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Mohammad Ishaq, Dar praised the engineers and technical teams of Suparco and his Chinese partners for their “exemplary cooperation and unshakable commitment”.
“This achievement reaffirms Pakistan’s position in the community of space nations,” said the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Managers say that satellite will also improve early alert systems and more effectively help environmental risks.

The Minister of Planning, Ahsan Iqbal, also congratulated the nation for the successful launch, calling it “another proud moment” for the country.
In an article on his official X -round, he said that the realization reflects the dedication and excellence of the Suparco team and marks a new stage for the Pakistan space program.
