Chris Evans and Alba Baptista made one of their most high-profile public appearances since becoming parents, stepping out together at the 98th Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday and perfectly portraying successful new parenthood.
The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Alma Grace, on October 24, 2025, and Sunday marked their first appearance together at the Oscars.
Neither seemed even remotely sleep deprived.
Evans, 44, wore a sleek black tuxedo with a crisp white shirt, black bow tie and cool sunglasses, while Baptista, 28, turned heads in a bodycon, off-the-shoulder champagne dress that sparkled under the lights.
She kept her look sleek and refined, adding a statement necklace, earrings and sleek makeup to complete the ensemble.
The two posed for photos together and were, by all accounts, still head over heels in love with each other.
Evans also had duties that evening, taking the stage to present the Best Screenplay award at the ceremony.
Little Alma was born in Massachusetts, where the couple is based, and her arrival was never officially announced. Evans and Baptista have kept their personal lives largely private since they tied the knot in an intimate home wedding in September 2023, followed by a second ceremony in Portugal.
Fans suspected a pregnancy was on the way after Baptista’s father, Luiz, responded to a Father’s Day Instagram post with a pointed message to Evans: “Thank you so much dear Chris. Your turn is coming!”
It turned out that it was already highly anticipated.
Alma Grace’s arrival was later confirmed and sources described Evans as completely smitten.
This is a chapter that Evans had openly spoken about and looked forward to.
