Chris Hemsworth fans are delighted as Extraction 3 finally received a promising update after years of silence.
The action-packed film series stars the 42-year-old Australian actor as Tyler Rake, a fearless black market mercenary tasked with the deadliest extraction missions.
After the success of the first two films, a third sequel was confirmed during Netflix’s Tudum 2023 event.
Two years of complete silence, the franchise has received an exciting update. According to recent production listings, principal filming for Extraction 3 is expected to begin in June 2026.
The film is scheduled to shoot in October. The previous two films were filmed in several locations, including Thailand, Prague and India.
Therefore, the production of the third installment is based in Sydney, Australia, which also serves as Hemsworth’s home country.
It appears that some filming will also take place in parts of Europe.
Directed by Sam Hargrave, the action-packed film stars Chris alongside Sam and Golshifteh Farahani.
On the work side, the Thor actor recently appeared in a film Crime 101 with Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro and Halle Berry.
He is set to play the role of Thor in Avengers: Doomsday, scheduled for release on December 18.
