“I felt like I had come to a point in the series of trucks where I was not happy or satisfied with success, but it certainly reached a point where I felt quite comfortable going to the higher level, and I felt like it was a great opportunity to go to a different series with Kaulig Racing, also told PK Press Club Digital in a recent interview.

To accompany his move to Xfinity, Eckes has teamed up with Celsius, the energy drink which, according to him, gave him enormous increases on the day of the race.

“It has been an explosion so far. I have been able to meet a lot of cool people and I obviously drink good drinks along the way. And I look forward to the future,” said Ecker.

“It helped me a lot. Some of these races are at night, or even in the morning, really. So get this caffeine definitely helps as well as the hydration packages. There are a lot of things they do that help us succeed. So yes, certainly a large part of our racing weekends.”

Eckers admitted that this season was not a party as he would like. He has only six top 10 this year.

“We are always trying to find our way,” said Ecker. “We had some success here and there, we had a certain speed, but not on a coherent basis. So, it is in a way our thing 1 at the moment, it is to try to move this and to go where we feel as if we should be, and it contains every week.”

This weekend, Ecker will run in Nashville, where he reached the height of success. He won last year and Kaulig has already taken the checkered flag there.

“Nashville should be a good place for us. I won the race last year in the truck series, so I hope it was the weekend that we finally turned around,” he said.

Eckers admitted that he was not a fan of Nashville in the past, but “leading every turn of last year, I love him a little better now”.

“I have already done it in a truck, so I hope I can repeat this success. It will take a lot. The Xfinity series is difficult to win. You must be perfect in all aspects or as close as you can be.
