Christian McCaffrey begins the offseason with “Zero Restrictions” after a 2024 season filled with injuries for the 49ers of San Francisco who limited him to only four games.
McCaffrey missed the first eight games of the season with the Achilles tendonitis, then took place with a right knee injury which put it aside for the last five games.
“I feel good,” said McCaffrey on Tuesday on the first day of the off -season program for the 49ers. “It was such a fluid process, a lot of hard work. As soon as this injury occurred in Buffalo, it was my goal not to miss an OTA day, being back ready to go without doing anything. This is where I am.”
McCaffrey said he was fully healed from Achilles injury and that the posterior cross ligament injury suffered in Buffalo on December 1 at the start of the offseason and was able to train at “full speed”.
It was an eventful offseason for McCaffrey, with his wife, Olivia Culpo, waiting for the couple’s first child.
This follows the frustrating season of 2024. McCaffrey injured his Achilles tendon at the start of the training camp and missed the first eight games of the season. He rushed to only 202 yards on 50 races in four games before injuring himself again because he could not match his 2023 sensational season.
McCaffrey won the offensive player AP of the year this season after leading the NFL with 2,023 melee yards and equal to the head of the league with 21 affected.
McCaffrey had missed only one match combined in 2022-23 – A game of week 18 meaning in the 2023 season for San Francisco when he had a painful calf – after missing 23 games due to injuries in his last two complete seasons with Carolina.
The star of the Niners star, Fred Warner, said that he had completely recovered from a broken ankle bone that had hampered it for most of last season. Warner played by the injury without missing games and won his third consecutive honors.
I feel good. The ankle is one thing of the past now, thank God, because it was difficult, trying to manage this all season. But I feel good now.
“I feel good,” he said. “The ankle injury belongs to the past.”
Notes: DL Evan Anderson, DL Alex Barrett, Lb Jalen Graham and Te Brayden Willis signed their exclusive one -year rights contracts. … Dustin Perry was invited to vice-president of health and performance of players.
