Chuck Mangione, one of the known faces of the Jazz scene from Rochester, which has delivered successes like Feels so welldied at the age of 84.
According to information, the musician died during his sleep at his home on Tuesday.
His family shared a statement in which they asked for intimacy, “the love story of Chuck with music was characterized by his unlimited energy, his shameless enthusiasm and his pure joy that radiated from the scene.”
“His appreciation for his faithful fans of the world was authentic, as evidenced by the frequency to which he sat on the edge of the scene after a concert for as long as it took to sign autographs to the fans who remained to meet him and the group,” he added.
“Chuck Mangione’s family is deeply saddened to share this peacefully deceased chuck in his sleep at his home in Rochester, New York, on July 22, 2025,” said the message.
Mangione was born in Rochester on November 29, 1940. He had a famous career which lasted six decades, giving him 14 nominations in Grammy, of which he won two. The composer released more than 30 albums, with Feels so well Become one of the best successes in Jazz Records.
