Islamabad:
On Wednesday, the Islamic Ideology Council (CII) reaffirmed its previous position according to which the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Transgender Bill contains the same unislamic elements as the 2018 Transgender Law, which had been declared incompatible with Islamic principles by the Council and the Federal Shariat Court.
The case was discussed during a meeting in which CII members deliberated on a total of 19 articles on the agenda. The session was chaired by the president of the CII, Dr. Muhammad Raghib Hussain Naemimi.
In addition, the Council expressed its concerns about the inclusion by the law of the Guru-Chela concept (mentor-disciple), deeming it unislamic.
The council judged that granting him the first wife the right to cancel her marriage if her husband remarries without her permission is not Islamic. Any judicial decision which allows such cancellation contradicts Islamic lessons.
It was decided that tests before marriage for thalassemia or other contagious diseases can be included in the Nikahnama (marriage contract) as an optional provision. However, the decision to get married will only be discreetly discreetly under Islamic law.
The council judged that the transplantation of organs, in particular the kidney and the liver, is authorized as long as the life of the donor is not in danger.
The Council has judged that newly hired employees may be required to participate in the contributory retirement system, but existing employees cannot be forced to join it. In addition, he stressed that pension funds must be entirely free from interest -based financial systems.
The Council stressed that Zakat funds should be distributed to deserving persons without unnecessary delays. However, if administrative procedures cause delays, these funds can be placed in Islamic bank accounts generating profits. In the event of financial loss, the government will be responsible for compensating for them.
During the meeting, four experts from the Sindh Institute of the Child and Neonatology were invited to present a briefing on the creation of a breast milk bank. They provided detailed responses to 33 requests raised by the members of the Council. Additional questions of the members were also discussed. The Council decided to conduct an in -depth study on the issue and will present its final decision at the next meeting.
It was decided that Islamic terms such as Salah (prayer), Ayah (vers) and Masjid (mosque) should be preserved in their original Arab form instead of being translated into English.
The Council stressed that academics and intellectuals should educate their respective levels concerning the issue of electricity theft.
