Hendrickson was categorical that he would not play this season on his salary of $ 16 million, and hoped to reach a long -term pact with cincinnati throughout the offseason.

When this never materialized, Hendrickson stood at the start of the training camp, clearly indicating that he wanted to be paid before participating in team exercises. Bengals would also have sought to exchange the chief of the NFL bag in 2024.

Hendrickson finally arrived at Bengals camp, but he was a reservoir who did nothing but participate in team meetings.

This new agreement for both parties means that Hendrickson is provided for a free agency without restriction if he is unable to conclude a long -term agreement before the new year of the league in March 2026.

The agreement concluded means that Hendrickson can take in the coming days to really prepare with his teammates in training. He attended the three pre-season games of the team despite other starters such as the quarter-Arrière Joe Burrow and the large receiver Ja’mar Chase playing pictures.

Hendrickson, who begins his ninth season in the NFL, obtained 17.5 bags in consecutive seasons after a 2024 campaign which included an all-pro honor of the first team. He also made his fourth consecutive pro-body.

Hendrickson’s revised agreement was the last financial box to verify Bengals, which also paid for the Large Tee Higgins recipient earlier this offseason. They also had a tense situation with the choice of first round Shemar Stewart, because the 17th overall selection did not like the money language guaranteed in its recruit agreement.

Now they can enter the 2025 season with all the key parts necessary to get back on the right track. They went 9-8 last season, recovering what could have been a disastrous year.
