Faced with rising cyber threats, two in three security leaders (65%) fear being blamed in the event of a major breach, which would make this role less desirable and could even leave many companies struggling to fulfill their duties.

A new study from Panaseer found that the average cost of a cyber incident per affected business is $14 million per year, which equates to 73% of their security budget – a budget that they clearly failed in the first place, by becoming victims of attacks.
