Karachi:
The low pressure system from the East Center sea has intensified. The Met Office said that the system, currently 985 kilometers from Karachi, could turn into a strong depression in the next 24 hours. If he becomes a cyclone, he will be named Shakti by Sri Lanka.
The system should move north to India, and currently there is no threat to the Pakistani coast. The meteorologist expects the system to intensify a strong depression within 24 hours due to favorable environmental conditions.
Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum called fishermen not to venture out at sea in the open air, citing security problems due to high tides. Forum spokesperson Kamal Shah said that fishermen are continuously informed through radio transmissions to avoid the free sea for the coming days, taking into account the potential proximity of the system with the coastal areas of Karachi and Sindh.
