Islamabad: Pakistan civilian and military leaders marked the country’s 78th day of independence with messages of unity, resilience and renewed commitment to defend sovereignty, to link this year’s celebrations to military success in Marka-E-HAQ-The period of conflict with India of the Attack of Pahalgam on April 22.
The leaders paid tribute to the sacrifices of the founders and martyrs of the nation, stressing that the confrontation in April of this year with India had strengthened the sacred character of Pakistan freedom and the resolution to safeguard it.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended his sincere invitation to all political parties and segments of society to join them to strengthen their determination to protect national interests.
“That day, I call on all political forces and citizens to unite in the mind of 1947 and to build a strong and prosperous Pakistan together for future generations”, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
“I extend my sincere congratulations to the nation to the completion of 78 years of independence from Pakistan. I pay tribute to the father of the nation, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and the thinker of Pakistan, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, who, with other resolved leaders and the workers of independence United The Nation under a vision, only one goal.

He congratulated the armed forces for having revived “their past glory and broken the false pride of the enemy by acting as a Bunyan-Um-Marsoos-a solid strength wall” and paid tribute to the martyrs “who sacrificed their lives for the good of our freedom”.
To call it “not only a military conquest, but also the victory of the validation of a theory of two nations”, promised to “remain vigilant to defend and protect our national interests, including water resources”.
While affirming Pakistan’s belief in “peaceful coexistence and the resolution of regional and global issues by dialogue and diplomacy”, he urged India to “demonstrate the same will for the resolution of all disputes, including the dispute of Jammu and cashmere”.
The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of economic stability for national defense, citing “the substantial reduction in electricity prices” and committing to “mobilize all available resources” to meet economic, industrial and technological challenges. “We must all demonstrate the spirit of Marka-E-Haq and the Pakistani movement,” he said.

President Asif Ali Zardari said: “Let’s had our divisions beyond and defend a Pakistan built on justice, equality, faith and service to all.”
The president linked the celebrations to the recent conflict, claiming that the nation marked the day “with a feeling of renewed pride and hope, because recently, the nation had reaffirmed its strength, its resolution and its unity in the face of external aggression”.
“Our success in Marka-E-Haq and Operation Bunyan-Um-Marsoos is a historic moment in our history. It was a demonstration of an unshakable national will, professional excellence and a united objective,” he said.
“Faced with an unjustified Indian aggression, Pakistan responded with clarity, courage and restraint. The world witnessed a nation that loved peace, but fully able to defend its sovereignty and its territorial integrity,” added the president.
The appellant “more than military success”, Zardari said that it was “a reminder of what we can achieve when we are united, focused and engaged in a common goal” and urged the nation to “channel this spirit in our economic renewal, our educational reform, our technological progress, our institutional development and our environmental resilience”.
He also expressed his solidarity with the inhabitants of India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk), adding their courage and their struggle for justice and their right to self -determination has remained close to their hearts.
He also reiterated that Pakistan would continue to expand its unshakable diplomatic, moral and political support until their right to self -determination is carried out.

I pay tribute to the immortal sacrifices made by our ancestors, affirming that Pakistan was born from their indomitable spirit and their dedication to the truth. I reaffirm that our nation cannot be overcome as long as we have united, “said Dar.
“I call each fellow citizen to remain united, to protect democratic values and to contribute collectively to the construction of a strong, worthy and prosperous Pakistan-for today and the moments to come,” he added.
He praised the “resolution of our armed forces and our people who were standing together to protect our sovereignty”, saying that this reflected “a formidable military preparation” and “a foreign policy in principle which obtained generalized international support”.
“While we celebrate our day of independence and Marka-e-Haq, we remember that freedom is preserved not only by defending our borders but also by confirming the principles of truth, justice and dignity in our international commitments,” he added.
