The Houston Texans were unable to find the goal area on Sunday in their 14-9 defeat against the Rams of Los Angeles, and their Vedette Quarter CJ Stroud made a frank statement on the performance of his team.
“We are not worth winning this match because we have not done the right things,” said Stroud, according to CBS Sports. “When you go out in the NFL Lollygagging, including the movements, this kind of happens. I think we are well, but I think it’s a good alarm clock for us.”
A term like Lollygagging is never what you want to be classified as in the NFL, but being a leader in the locker room of his third season, Stroud knows what is acceptable and what is not the day of the match.

Stroud burst into the NFL scene in 2023 as an offensive recruit of the year after having successfully completed 4,108 yards with 23 affected and only five interceptions in 15 games. His production took a slight plunge last season after launching for 3,727 yards with 20 affected and 12 interceptions, this last statistics being something he wants to run in 2025.
So, it was not a step in the right direction, but as Stroud said, there remains a lot of football to play in 2025.
“Are you going to lie down, or are you going to go play? For me, I’m just trying to go compete as best I can and show these guys, I don’t care who is in it. I am confident. I try to play as hard as possible to show them, I’m there for them.”

The Texans will have their first home game on “Monday Night Football” next week against the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay.
