Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza paid a farewell visit to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ), the ISPR said in a statement on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the COAS congratulated General Mirza for his exemplary leadership, strategic foresight and dedicated service to the Pakistan Armed Forces, according to the Army’s media wing.
He lauded the pivotal role of the CJCSC in enhancing tri-service synergy, strengthening joint operational preparedness and promoting Pakistan’s national security objectives at the strategic level, the statement said.
The COAS highlighted General Sahir’s contributions to regional stability, military diplomacy and strengthening Pakistan’s partnerships with friendly countries, it added.
