Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 “Thank You” update adds a new dungeon, boss fights and a photo mode worthy of The Paintress

I don’t often replay games once I’ve finished them, and when I do, there are years between my playthroughs. But after having devoured Chiaroscuro: Expedition 33 in April, and as the year comes to an end, I’m thinking about what games can occupy my free time. I find I’m desperate to get back online – so Expedition 33The announcement of the new DLC couldn’t have come at a better time.

At the Game Awards 2025 – where Chiaroscuro: Expedition 33 also won the top prize for Game of the Year, along with several other trophies. While thanking the game’s players during an acceptance speech, Sandfall Interactive CEO Guillaume Broche proved that “actions speak louder than words” by announcing the “Thank You” update.
