Lahore:
The chief minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, increased the loan limit through the Kissan card to RS300,000, against 150,000 rupees and announced a subsidy of up to 95% on the solarization of agricultural tube wells.
Addressing a ceremony at Kala Shah Kaku Rice Research Institute, she also announced the launch of an SMS and telephone assistance system for farmers who do not have the card.
She announced that green tractors would be provided to a subsidy at 20,000 farmers next year, as well as the creation of agricultural machine rental centers in each Tehsil.
The chief minister also congratulated the farmers for the success of the operation Bunyan-Un-Marsos and congratulated the performance of all government institutions.
She added: “The reduction in inflation from 40% to almost zero is no less than a miracle. During my visit to Lahore, a woman congratulated me on reducing the prices of vegetables. The onions, which sold RS300 per kg to Punjab, are now available at RS50.” She said that reducing the prices of flour and bread had benefited the people.
The chief minister said: “Those who tried to create a crack between farmers and the government failed miserably. Punjab farmers benefit from the historic package. Farmers have not listened to baseless propaganda and the government would not allow any loss.”
She added: “Instead of the wheat support price, a direct subsidy is given to farmers. I want to make all the resources available to our farmers, but certain difficult decisions must be made to create a balance in the economy. Support of a value of 5,000 rupees per acre is given to the farmers of wheat. The Punjab government is the greatest number of semence, hunches, electricity.
She said 85% of loans acquired by the Kissan card had been reimbursed.
She maintained: “The earlier, green tractors were available during the mandate of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and now, when the government of Nawaz Sharif has returned to power, green tractors are given to farmers.”
The CM said that producers obtained abundant fertilizers at reasonable prices.
She underlined: “Due to early sowing, cotton crops will increase by 30 to 40% and its production will be six million balls this year. Farmers will not be missed per person, because the government will provide them with full support and also repair their difficulties and grievances. The coming year will bring more improvement and prosperity.”
The chief minister launched the program for wheat farmers by granting tractors and a cash grant during the ceremony. She also inspected the last Chinese tractors on this occasion.
