Punjab chief minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced free electric bikes for 2,200 players who won divisional competitions from the Khelta Punjab 2025 games.
Addressing the inaugural game ceremony, she said that winning players would also be allowed to have entered free show and cattle show. “I want to see Punjab players win laurels internationally,” she added.
The chief minister said: “Champions should only focus on their sports activities and should not be misled in the hands of disbelievers to create chaos and disorders in the country. If someone asks you to create Anarchy in our country, young people should not pay an ear for them.
She added: “Anyone who induces you to set fire to the country, to attack institutions is your biggest enemy. Only Pakistan should be a” red line “of everyone. Progress and development of Pakistan.”
Head Minister Maryam Nawaz also met a delegation led by the special representative of the European Union for Human Rights Olaf Skoog and discussed questions relating to the promotion of fundamental human rights, democracy and the ‘rule of law.
She appreciated the continuous partnership of the European Union with Pakistan, in particular Punjab on human rights issues.
The EU delegation reiterated its commitment to continue to support the Punjab government for the protection of human rights.
The CM said: “Pakistan is fully in accordance with the mechanisms of United Nations human rights. We adhere to the promotion of democracy, the rule of law and human rights in Punjab. practices are undertaken for the well -being of minorities, women, children, differently differently – people and other vulnerable segments in the province.
She said: “Pakistan recently participated in a major United Nations Human Rights review meeting. Pakistan successfully submitted its examination under the International Convention on the Elimination of all forms racial discrimination (Icerd) in August 2024. “
She added: “Cooperation with the European Union for the promotion of fundamental human rights will be strengthened”.
