The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has released RS3 billion for flood rescue and rescue operations after general destruction caused by heavy rain and sudden floods.
Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur left Dera Ismail Khan to visit the areas affected by the floods, where he should meet families and review rescue efforts, Express News reported.
At a high -level meeting in Peshawar, assisted by the chief secretary, the division commissioners, the assistant commissioners and the PDMA officials, the authorities reported that at the Lea 308, people had lost their lives so far, with 23 injured.
The government allocated RS1.5 billion to the province of disaster management (PDMA) and RS1.5 billion in the communications department for rehabilitation. In addition, 500 million rupees were provided to the assistant commissioners for compensation to the families of the victims.
Medical teams, food supplies and medicines have been sent, while helicopters and rescue teams are involved in the relocation of people and the restoration of access roads.
The authorities have declared floods and emergencies in health matters in the province, operations continuing in coordination with the federal government and military support, but led by the civil administration.
CM Gandapur has ordered that the road links will be restored urgently and the helicopter services organized if necessary. He ordered compensation payments within two days and provided uninterrupted food supplies.
