Coas Gen Asim’s mother was put to rest

The mother of the chief of staff of the army (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, died on Monday, was rooted in the army cemetery after funeral prayers were offered to the race field in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

Public inter-service public relations (ISPR) published a statement on Tuesday, announcing the death of General Asim Munnir “on Ramazan (March 24)”, and offering prayers for her highest ranks in Paradise.

The funeral prayers, held on the race field in Rawalpindi, brought together President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Federal Ministers, Chief Ministers, Civil and Military and others.

The army chief personally managed the funeral prayers for his mother and expressed his gratitude to all those who attended. Close safety arrangements were taken on this occasion. Later, his mother was buried in the army cemetery.

President AIF Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed their deep sadness about the disappearance of the mother of the army chief. The president, in a press release, expressed condolences and expressed his solidarity with the bereaved family in this hour of sorrow.

“We share the sorrow of General Syed Asim Munir about the death of his mother. My sincere condolences go to the bereaved family during this difficult period,” said the president. He prayed to Allah Almighty for peace for the soul and the disappeared force so that the bereaved family suffered the loss.

The Prime Minister also expressed his solidarity with the bereaved family in this hour of sorrow, according to a press release from the Prime Minister’s office. He also prayed to Allah Almighty for the eternal peace of the disappeared soul.

The president of Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and the president of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also expressed deep sadness and sorrow on the passage of the mother of General Asim Mnnir and prolonged their sincere condolences.
