Islamabad:
The Minister of Defense, Khawaja Asif, praised the meeting between the army chief on Thursday, Marshal Syed Asim Munnir and the American president in the White House the other day, as an important diplomatic success of Pakistan.
Speaking of journalists outside the Parliament, the Minister stressed that it was the first time that an army chief was invited for lunch with the American president, stressing the importance of the meeting.
Khawaja Asif pointed out that discussions on international and regional issues presented Pakistan potential to solve key problems, especially in the context of Pak-India tensions.
