The chief of staff of the army (COAS) Marshal Syed Asim Munnir visited Multan Garrison, where he examined the operational preparation of the training and presided over the enthronement ceremony of the Z-10ME attack helicopters in the aviation of the Pakistani army, the media wing said on Saturday. The 10ME Z-10th enthronement ceremony was held later in the day.
According to inter-service public relations (ISPR), the all-time platform, equipped with advanced radar systems and electronic war capacities, is designed for precision strike missions. It should considerably improve the operational capacities of the aviation of the army of Pakistan against air and land threats.
After the ceremony, Marshal Asim attended a live fire power demonstration by the Z-10ME helicopters with Muzaffargarh shooting ranges. The display has presented the modernized response capacities of the army and the integration of combined weapons tactics, the ISPR said.
The COAS was received by the body commander and informed of the body’s headquarters on current training activities and the overall operational preparation of the training. He expressed his satisfaction with the high state of preparation and reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the army to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity, the press release said.
General Munnir also organized an interactive session with members of the academic world and civil society, where he stressed the importance of national unity, civil-military synergy and an approach to the whole nation to counter hybrid threats and promote social cohesion, he added.
In his interaction with the troops, the chief of the army praised their high morale, their professionalism and their preparation for combat. He congratulated the effective demonstration of the tactics of the battlefield, reiterating the determination of the army to maintain an advantage in the midst of evolving threats, concluded the press release.
