The chief of staff of the army (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, urged Pakistan young people to prioritize their functions and their self-responsibility to engage in substantive criticism, reported the radio-pakistan radiodiffuser managed by the state on Sunday.
Addressing students from the CMH Institute of Medical Sciences in Bahawalpur, General Munnir stressed the importance of academic excellence and to equip young people with the skills necessary to contribute to national development.
The head of the army welcomed the role of young people in training the future of Pakistan and reiterated the army’s commitment to support initiatives that empower young talents.
General Asim Munnir warned that false stories were distributed to undermine state efforts against terrorism.
During the visit, the head of the army also inaugurated the Innosta Cholistan project and the integrated Simulator Arena, which is described as key stages in the progression of medical education, information technologies and preparation for combat.
Earlier, upon arrival, the COAS was received by the commander of the Bahawalpur Corps.
During his visit, General Munnir addressed officers and troops, congratulating their dedication, their high morale and their preparation for combat.
He stressed that rigorous training remains fundamental for the professional development of a soldier and should continue to be a decisive characteristic of the Pakistani army to meet the challenges of modern war.
