After being dismissed by the University of Stanford for allegations of intimidation and lowering the staff, Troy Taylor said that he had been represented “unjustly” and that he had been dismissed “without cause”.
Taylor was the subject of an investigation for the first time more than a year ago, which led him to sign a warning letter on February 14 and a second investigation which ended on July 24.
In a statement published on Wednesday, Taylor said he had not been subjected to other complaints since then and has even lost an increase “for the good of the team”.

“For 30 years, I have been coach and educator at the secondary and college level. I had great success with each program that I have led, without a single problem or a complaint concerning my treatment of others. I applied the same approach and the same values to a Stanford program dealing with upheavals,” said Taylor.
Taylor said the two investigations had been “poorly disclosed” to the media. The first survey, said Taylor, concerned “a complaint by a sports administrator who said that I had tried to withdraw it as a football administrator for an unfair reason”.
Taylor said he “disagreed with the complaint” but “took him seriously and cooperated entirely”. The investigation, Taylor, said: “concluded that I had not acted unfairly”, and an extension was given and raised at the end of next February “because I was told that we were building something special”.

“Later, in March 2024, a second complaint was filed by a member of the compliance office concerning a discussion on physical speed in which Stanford players could participate in a walk. This was resolved in July 2024. Two other witnesses (a man and a woman) were present during the initial discussion on the speed at which players could participate in a procedure.
It was after this investigation, said Taylor that he lost his increase. However, the director general of the university, Andrew Luck, dismissed Taylor at the end of last month, which, according to Taylor, was “without reason”.

“The recent representation of me’s media is unfair, wrong and contrary to my professional history and the person I am and I have always been,” said Taylor. “The truth is that Stanford ended me without reason and, therefore, honors the original payment conditions of my contract.
“I maintain my efforts to lead with integrity to Stanford and elsewhere and to build a winning team and culture which are inclusive and respectful of everyone. I firmly believe in players, coaches and staff currently in Stanford. Although I am disappointed that Stanford has now decided that I am no longer the right person to direct the football team, I am grateful for my time in Stanford and to the football team. “

Stanford refused to comment PK Press Club Digital in response to Taylor’s declaration.
Taylor went 3-9 in his two seasons as Stanford’s chief coach. Frank Reich was recently hired as an interim coach.
