Keegan Bradley pulled a stunning when he confirmed earlier this week, long before Captain’s choices were due, that Bryson Dechambeau would be part of the team of the USA Ryder Cup team.
Given that Dechambeau is part of LIV golf, he can only gain qualification points by the majors – but with limited opportunities, he took advantage of them.
He finished T5 in Augusta, T2 in the PGA championship, missed the Cup at the US Open, then T10 at the open championship last week.

As it stands, Dechambeau ranks fifth among American golfers for qualification points – the first six qualifies automatically.
It is difficult to see Dechambeau stay inside this top -six, because he has no possibilities for the points of the Fedex Cup – but Bradley made his decision, and Collin Morikawa thinks that it is the good, despite practically breaking it from the PGA Tour.
“He is one of the best golfers in the world at the moment. You cannot ignore this simply because he is playing on another tour or something else,” PK Press Club Digital Morikawa told PK Press Club, currently ranked eighth but a double participant in the Ryder Cup, in a recent interview.
“He is really one of the best golfers, and that’s what Keegan wants. He wants 12 of the best American golfers to be in this team. And he brings energy. We do not all bring this type of energy – he brings a crowd of energy by YouTube, which he does – shoot, I want to be on this side of the team too.”
This decision was obvious to Bradley, which could potentially be the first captain since Arnold Palmer in 1965.

Collin Morikawa turns attention to the greater honor ” to represent the United States at the Ryder Cup after the difficulties abroad
“Bryson will be a very important room to win the Ryder Cup,” said Bradley Sports illustrated. “He brings so much. He brings energy, passion, but above all, he is one of the best players on the planet.”
An emotional dechambeau spoke with journalists after a roaring return during his last round on Sunday, when he pulled a 64 to finish 10th in Royal Portrush, and he said that he had spoken “briefly” with Bradley during the week.
Then he saw something “in our lockers which was quite inspiring”. Dechambeau called the “personal” message and kept it for him. However, he made a solid statement before the Ryder Cup, an event that Europe won in 2023 in Italy.
“It meant a lot,” said Dechambeau about Bradley’s confidence in him in the American team. “This year is not a joke. We are tired. We are tired of losing.”

The Ryder Cup will take place in Long Island from September 26 to 28 at the famous Bethpage Black course. The home team has not lost Ryder Cup since 2012, when Team Europe returned to single Sunday in the Miracle of Medinah.
Dechambeau did not play for Team USA in Rome two years ago, but Brooks Koepka, fresh out of a T2 at the Masters and winning the PGA championship, obtained the head sign.
