After the recent debut of the Oppo Find
The Find N5 and Find
Later this month, Reno14 and then Reno13 devices will see the ColorOS update, before a slew of other gadgets get it in December and later in “Q1 2026.” Oppo shared the details in the image below:
But what can these devices expect from the update?
AI galore
Well, as we expect from software updates in 2025, the answer is, of course, AI.
If you use your voice recorder regularly, the AI recorder will automatically generate titles and summaries for conversations. Additionally, ColorOS can deploy artificial intelligence to automatically eliminate noise while enhancing human voices to make recordings clearer.
Your phone can also help you create captions for your Instagram snaps using AI Writer, or the same tool promises to be able to help you with more complex writing tasks, like developing a project plan.
Then there’s AI Mind Space, which works particularly well with the FINd
You can also expect new photo tools like AI Portrait Glow, which can help you fix lighting issues in your photos, and a new all-in-one video editor that will help you quickly adjust clips, or even turn videos into animated photos and vice versa.
Your edited (or unedited) photos can then be used in the new Flux theme home screen designs. You can design the details according to your desired aesthetic and needs, and I love how AI can suggest intelligent edits and create depth on your screen by placing text and elements between the foreground and background elements of your photos.
There’s Aqua Dynamics which serves as an alternative to Dynamic Island/Now Bar, a new “Light Design” which shares some aesthetics with Liquid Glass (which in itself isn’t a bad thing as I think it’s well done), and speaking of iPhone, there are some new integrations for people who use both Oppo and iPhone devices, like the ability to answer calls your iPhone receives on your Oppo.
That’s a lot of updates, but you can expect to start a few more upgrades. To check them out, you can see Oppo’s full ColorOS 16 breakdown.
