Connor Storrie set to make his hosting debut on Saturday evening live next month, taking his viral fame from Passionate rivalry to the next level.
The 25-year-old newcomer was announced as host of the February 28 episode of the sketch comedy show, with Mumford & Sons joining him as the evening’s musical guest.
Reacting to the news, he took to his Instagram stories and wrote: “I am literally the luckiest person in the world.”
THE SNL The concert is one of several high-profile appearances that the queer Canadian series’ main stars have scheduled since its release.
Connor and co-star Hudson Williams recently served as torchbearers for the upcoming Milan Cortina Olympic tournament.
The Winter Olympics will begin in Italy on February 6, while Connor and Hudson will carry the ceremonial flame in the Italian town of Feltre on January 25.
Notably, Passionate rivalry has already been renewed for a second season, while Connor Storrie has vaguely teased the start of its production.
“I think Jacob is still writing it,” he said during a recent appearance on Todayreferring to the series’ creator, Jacob Tierney.
“I think we’re going to shoot, I don’t know when exactly.”
