Luce Allen, a senior transgender girl, defeated a first-year biological woman by less than two tenths of a second in a 200-meter race during a Pennsylvania track meeting at high school this weekend.
Allen, from Plymouth-Whitemars High School, has set a personal record of 25.20 seconds in the American Meet floor race.
Allen now has six wins over the season, especially in the 4×400 meter relay of Liberty Girls in the same competition.

Allen’s time would have been the fourth most the most the highest time of the 200 meter runners, including preliminary sleeves. The victory times for the boys were 21.72 and 21.96 seconds.
According to Athletic.net, Allen has faced girls since 2023, when Allen was a second year student. No one with the “Allen” family name was listed on the list of boys or girls in 2022, the first year of Allen.
A lawyer has read an Allen declaration in a board of directors of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association which meets in March, claiming that forcing transgender individuals to compete with those who share a biological sex harm their development.
“If you delete the ability of people to compete with a team that corresponds to their gender, then you will delete them from their opportunity to develop as people,” said Allen, via the Philadelphia Inquirer. “Trans athletes, like any other secondary athlete, are only children who want to compete.”
Allen’s mother, Sarah Hansen, said at this meeting that she and her family were traveling to pass to the girl she has always been, and having competed Allen against the boys “would be cruel.”

“My child is a woman in her heart and soul, and according to her medical laboratories,” said Hansen.
“The presence of Luce in the team promotes a spirit of unity, sporting spirit and inclusiveness,” said head coach Christopher Jackson during this same meeting. “They are admired for their bravery, their work ethics and their unshakable commitment to the sport they love.”
Hansen said that Allen is “not a man who wants to play against girls, not a predator who wants to find a path in the female locker room, and not a man who is not good enough to be a boy. He is a girl”.
The state of Pennsylvania undoubtedly put organic men in competition against girls and women on the map, when Upenn Lia Thomas swimmer won a national division I championship in 2022.
In the midst of his decree to keep biological men outside the sports of girls and women, the administration of President Donald Trump began an investigation into title IX on the École de la Ivy League.
