Cop held to film women in the toilet in the hospital

A Punjab police police officer, who was allegedly surprised in the process of filming inappropriate images of women in the Tehsil headquarters in Gujar Khan from the Rawalpindi district, was officially arrested and reserved in a case.

A citizen intervened, caught the suspect on the spot and gave him to the police with his mobile phone. According to police sources, a case has been officially registered and an investigation is currently underway. The suspect was identified as a police officer affiliated with the training wing in Lahore.

The first information report (FIR), tabled by a citizen named Bilal Hussain, said that he had visited the hospital for medical treatment when he observed a man capturing images of women inside the toilets. The same person would also have been seen to photograph women elsewhere on the premises of the hospital.

Increasingly suspicious, Hussain confronted the individual – identified as Aqeel Abbas, a Rajgaan resident – and checked his mobile phone. It contained inappropriate photographs of women. The suspect was then arrested by Bilal and given to the authorities.

Police officials confirmed that the accused was dressed in civilian clothes at the time of the incident. A case was registered under articles 354, 292 and 509 of the Pakistan Criminal Code (PPC), and a more in -depth investigation is underway.

Saddar Sp nabeel Khokhar confirmed that the accused was indeed a member of the Lahore police training wing.

According to assistant police superintendent (ASP) Syed Daniyal, the police received a complaint from a resident who said the suspect, a chief agent published in the Punjab police office, was involved in the shooting of women while using the toilets in the hospital wards.

He said the suspect had already been reserved for raped a widow, but that the case was rejected later after the suspect was reconciled with the victim. The case was withdrawn and it was reinstated, added Daniyal.

Gujar Khan police said that several compromises of women using the toilets had been found on his mobile phone, which were sent for a medico-legal verification.

According to the medical superintendent of Thq (MS), Dr. Sarmad Kiyani, there are no cameras in the hospital toilets, and the only cameras of the hospital are in the corridors, not in the toilet.

In March, a tiktker was arrested in Swabi for making videos and photos of women and girls while they were shopping and downloaded them to his account. In December, Khanewal police arrested a suspect who would have filmed customers in the locker rooms of a clothing retailer in Khanewal with his mobile phone.

Similarly, last June, Lahore police reserved the owners and staff of a private girl inn in the region of the city of Johar in a case to allegedly record videos of residents through hidden cameras installed in the toilet.
