- Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo Ultra 2025 Serre High -end IA equipment in a small 3.6 -liter box
- Providing large performance and energy efficiency at only 300 watts
- It supports large language models with up to 14b settings
Apple’s Mac studio continues to dominate the conversation around high performance compact office, but Lenovo pushes with its Thinkcentre Neo Ultra series.
Originally released at CES 2024, the first NEO Ultra Thinkcentre included an intel 14th generation Intel processor. Barely six months later, Lenovo refreshed the device with Core Ultra CPU of Intel, and also upgraded the GPU in a separate system, the mini PC of Lenovo Yoga Portal.
Now Lenovo has introduced another update from the ThinkCentre Neo Ultra series – a new mini workstation equipped with the Ultra 9 285 high -end processor from Intel and a 16 GB RTX 506 GPI GPU 16 GB.
Portable but powerful
“Small stature, large energy” is the way Lenovo describes the model of this year, and the slogan corresponds. Despite its 3.6-liter compact chassis, this mini PC offers a total performance output of 825 above and update of the LGA-851 more recent LGA-1700.
The power supply has been reduced by 350 W in the previous version to 300W, which suggests improving electrical efficiency.
Although this model always avoids unlocked standard K processors, it aims at a balance between thermal limitations and calculation performance which should appeal to its audience focused on business.
One of the remarkable features is improved graphics. Replacement of the RTX 4060 with a 16 GB RTX 506 TI offers a substantial boost for users who manage AI inference, 3D rendering or high resolution video workflows.
Lenovo also alludes to a dedicated NPU card, although it is not clear if it refers to separate equipment or is linked to the Arrow Lake architecture of Intel.
In any case, the system supports models of large languages deployed locally with up to 14 billion parameters – an attractive option for organizations that seek to execute AI internal workloads.
Lenovo says that the system has obtained a price CES 2025 Best New Tech for Home and Workplace, adding additional credibility to its performance allegations.
The basic configurations include 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, with prices set at 14,999 RMB (approximately $ 2,056) for the Core Ultra 5 and RTX 5060, or 19,999 RMB (around $ 2741) for ultra 7 and RTX 5060 Ti.
The prices and availability of the Core Ultra 9 and RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB variant have not yet been announced, and there is no word on the details of the international launch.
