Core Scientific, Inc. (CORZ), digital infrastructure provider for high performance IT (HPC) and Bitcoin Miner, announced the appointment of Jim Nygaard as a new chief financial director, in force on March 17.
Nygaard, a veteran finance director, provides vast experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finances and capital markets of his mandates at XMS Capital Partners and Morgan Stanley, according to a statement.
“Jim’s deep financial expertise and the strategic state of mind will be decisive while we continue to extend operations and conduct the value of shareholders,” said CEO Adam Sullivan.
The outgoing financial director Denise Sterling, who directed the company through its restructuring of Chapter 11 and has obtained more than a billion dollars in capital, will remain until May 1 to ensure a smooth transition. The transition plan has already been announced on September 6.
