- Square Enix launched a new Final Fantasy 9 website
- The website was made to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the game
- Fans are now wondering if we will soon see a remake announcement
Final Fantasy 9 Fans now hope for a remake of Nintendo Switch 2 because the PS1 classic gets a 25th anniversary website.
The RPG developed by Squaresoft (role -playing) was initially released on the original Playstation on July 7, 2000, which means that its 25th anniversary is a few months old. Consequently, an official site was ready to commemorate the opportunity.
The website, translated by Japanese by IGN, declares that “various projects, including goods and collaborations to commemorate the 25th anniversary” are on the way.
A news section on the website shows that several stuffed animals, books, soundtracks and souvenirs are being prepared for Final Fantasy 9’s 25th anniversary. There is not yet confirmation of a commemorative game or a remake, but that has not prevented RPG fans from speculating on sites like Reddit.
In addition, the direct presentation of Big Nintendo Switch 2 takes place tomorrow (April 2), which led people to believe a confirmation of a Final Fantasy 9 The remake for the next console could be a real possibility.
Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail,, The latest online role -playing game extension of MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role -playing game), also has a main story which is strongly inspired by Final Fantasy 9.
In a void, this certainly does not mean much, as FF14 systematically paid tribute to the legacy of the series through various content elements. But it shows at least that Square Enix and Developer Creative Studio 3 both have Final Fantasy 9 on the brain.
