Charlotte Jones, the daughter of Dallas Cowboys executive vice president and chief brand officer Jerry Jones, has expressed support for Bad Bunny to perform at the Super Bowl LX halftime show.
The NFL’s selection of the Grammy Award-winning artist drew backlash when it was announced due to his criticism of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents as the Trump administration began its crackdown on illegal immigration in the spring and summer.

Jones appeared on “The Katie Miller Podcast” Tuesday and said it was “awesome” that Bad Bunny was able to perform in Santa Clara, Calif., for the biggest sporting event of the year and wasn’t concerned about his political comments.
“I think our Latina fan base is incredible. And I think when you think about the Super Bowl, you want the No. 1 artist in the world to be there,” Jones said. “We’re on the world stage and we can never forget that. Our game is for everyone in the world and to get the biggest artist to want to be a part of our game, I think it’s amazing. We have a mixed culture. Our whole society is based on the immigrants who came here and founded our country. I think we can celebrate that. I think the show is going to be incredible.”
“I don’t think our game is about politics,” Jones continued. “I don’t think people are interested in politics. We do everything we can to avoid politics. I think at that point people will watch the game, they will celebrate the music and no one will think about the comments from the left side, the comments from the right side. It’s about bringing people together.”

Jones added that the Cowboys organization has “always felt strongly that politics should never enter into our game,” adding that she wants all fans to support the team and not just those who support a political faction.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell also stood firm on Bad Bunny’s selection, while Jay-Z dismissed criticism last month.
