George Pickens is preparing for his first season with the Dallas Cowboys after being exchanged from Pittsburgh’s Steelers after a tumultuous season 2024.
While Pickens started in the camp, he expressed his optimism about a “new start” with the Cowboys and had a subtle blow on the Steelers.

“I am really delighted to perform better games,” he said via NFL.com.
Pickens had 59 catches for 900 yards and three affected under the head coach Mike Tomlin and the offensive coordinator Arthur Smith. He will play for the new cowboys head coach, Brian Schottenheimer, and the offensive coordinator Klayton Adams. Schottenheimer was the offensive coordinator of Cowboys last season under Mike McCarthy.
He also compared him and Ceedee Lamb as “Mario Bros.”

“Oh yeah, that’s for sure. Just different types of game styles,” added Pickens. “Many people over the years have obtained different game styles, but Ceedee is a certain type of guy, so I’m a certain type of guy. So when you get it together, it’s like Mario Bros.
“We can certainly do something special.”
LAMB had 152 targets last season – 66 more than Jake Ferguson. The role of Lamb increased as Dak Prescott fell with an injury and that Cooper Rush was left to manage the offensive.

The addition of Pickens should open the offensive a little, which could only be beneficial for cowboys in the future.
