Craig David has spoken about his incredible career journey, which has taken him from living in a social field to scoring several chart-topping hits.
Craig lived on the Holyrood estate before finding fame in his early twenties.
Today, the chart-topping singer’s net worth is estimated at £14.5 million.
Talk to Daily MailCraig, 45, shared: “No one could have told me, when I was a young child, growing up in my council flat with my mum, that 25 years later I’d had a career that spanned this long and that the songs would mean so much to people.”
Reflecting on his latest arena tour, Craig said: “There were 15/16 year old kids and then there were people who grew up with my music. I thought it was crazy, it was two generations having fun.”
The star also insisted he has no regrets about the choices he made, he said: “Because everything leads to where you are now.”
Craig continued: “Every choice, every wrong, right, left, wrong, down has led me to stand here and you learn from it.
“Difficult times give you determination, courage and strength.
“Otherwise you just coast along and you never really experience the ebb and flow. »
For the uninitiated, Craig is one of Britain’s biggest artists, having scored 16 top 10 singles in the UK alone.
