Before the release of Villain: for good, critics have split their verdict on the sequel.
Reportedly, initial reactions from reviewers have been generally favorable. “All good deeds are rewarded in ‘Wicked: For Good'” Deadline Destiny Jackson writes about X.
“It’s an epic and heartbreakingly tender conclusion to one of the most dynamic friendships in pop culture history. There’s plenty to love for fans of the Broadway show with butterfly kiss-sized surprises in store,” the post read.
Jazz Tangcay, editor-in-chief of artisans at Varietywrites: “Jon M. Chu is a genius in the way he wraps this up. Elphaba and Glinda’s stories are expanded upon and leave you with an emotional gut punch at the end.”
