- Gaming hardware brand CRKD introduces new controller
- Battery monitor expected to arrive in 2026
- A teaser gives us a potential first look
Gaming hardware manufacturer CRKD has introduced a new drum kit controller.
Scheduled for launch in 2026, there are very few details about the upcoming product, although a brief trailer and promotional image may give us a first look.
Look on it
We can see something that looks a lot like the game’s old battery. Rock bandwith four color-coded pads to simulate drums. This is in addition to three color-coded cymbals and a pedal on the right side.
The video thumbnail features CRKD branded wooden sticks, as well as some sort of control panel with buttons that are presumably used to help control or configure the kit.
There are no further details, other than that the controller will be released sometime in 2026. “You will have to wait a little longer to learn more details; our lips are sealed,” the company wrote in a press release.
The brand has gradually established itself as a major player in the rhythm game controller niche, recently releasing a licensed Gibson Les Paul guitar controller, which we praised for its solid build quality, attractive design, and ease of use with major games like Guitar Hero.
Given the real lack of other battery controllers on the market today, most Rock band players relying on older used hardware from sites like eBay, I can see this new product being very successful.
