Crypto Exchange Bitpanda said it had obtained a license in license as Crypto Assets (MICA) of the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bafin).
The Crypto asset service provider license will allow the exchange to operate in the 27 nations of the European Union. The company based in Austria had 6 million users in December and will use the license to accelerate its growth, he said.
“This step allows us to provide easy and safe investments to more than 450 million people, unlocking an unequaled growth potential in a market that we are ready to conquer fully,” said Eric Demuth, CEO and co-founder, in the press release.
The company joins Boerse Stuttgart Digital, which received the first license by the German regulator. Moonpay, Bitstaete, ZBD and Prime Brokerage and Clearing Company Hidden Road, also received Mica licenses.
