Crypto Exchange Kraken obtained a license in the markets in the financial instruments (MIFID) in the European Union.
Kraken was able to obtain the license which will allow him to offer cryptographic derivative products in the block of 27 nations by acquiring a Cypriot investment company which had the license of Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CYSEC).
“In the coming months, we will work to fulfill the conditions of putting online and launch the products on the local EU markets.”, Said the company in its blog article on Monday.
The exchange joins others like Bitstamp and FTX EU, which were recently purchased by Backpack, which hold the Mifid license.
The license is part of Kraken’s expansion plan across Europe. He also acquired Crypto Facility, a British platform at FCA Crypto Futures, in 2019.
