The main political action committee of cryptographic industry, Fairshake, flooded the support of republican candidates in the House of American Representatives of the Special Elections this week in Florida who aimed to fill vacant seats at the Congress. The two candidates won, further strengthening the vast national majority of the party.
The two seats in Florida had been canceled when President Donald Trump hit the previous members to join his administration, including his national security advisor, Michael Waltz, and the Trump Congress member initially chose the Attorney General, Matt Gaetz, who quickly lost under pressure from the accusations that he had sex with a minor and was linked to the use of illegal drugs.
Florida voters elected the Senator of the Randy Fine status to take the former headquarters of Waltz and chose the state director, Jimmy Patronis, to replace Gaetz. The races attracted a high level of attention and money from both parties, due to the importance of each seat tight in the house. While the Democrats did not orient the conservative districts on their side, they gained much more support in the two districts than during the last elections in 2024.
An affiliate of the FAIRSHAKE PAC had paid for advertising supporting pro-CRYPTO, patronis and fine candidates, in the primary and general elections of Florida, including 1.5 million dollars of the last minute to ensure their victory.
“We are delighted to see two solid innovation champions head for Washington,” said Fairshake spokesperson Josh Vlasto in a statement. “The two leaders have shown an in-depth commitment to advance pro-growth policies and to ensure that the United States leads the world in crypto and innovation of digital assets.”
The arrival of the two in the House leaves only two vacant posts due to the death of Democrats members of Texas and Arizona.
