CSS 2026 review schedule announced

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has published the Central Superior Services (CSS) 2026 examination calendar via advanced public opinion.

According to the Commission, the public opinion for online requests for the preliminary test based on the MCQ (MPT) will be published on August 10, 2025, while MPT requests will be accepted from August 11 to August 25, 2025.

Applicants who are eligible for the MPT will be eligible to submit requests for the written CSS exam, which will be accepted from December 15 to December 30, 2025.

The written CSS exam should start on February 4, 2026, according to the FPSC.

The CSS exam serves as a key gateway to the federal elite services of Pakistan, including administration, foreign affairs, customs and other civilians.

He has traditionally attracted new university graduates and young professionals, with strict eligibility criteria in terms of age and attempts.

By increasing the age ceiling and allowing an additional attempt, the new measures aim to expand access and offer greater flexibility to aspiring who may need more time to prepare or enter the labor market later.

Earlier, the National Assembly adopted a resolution to increase the maximum age limit for candidates appearing to examine central higher services (CSS) from 30 to 35 years, with the new policy which should take effect from 2026, the Pakistan Associated Press reported
