Peshawar:
In a decisive operation in the Lala Cheena region in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) district (CTD) district killed three terrorists who were reportedly prohibited in the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP).
According to a spokesperson, a special team of weapons and tactics (SWAT) of the CTD carried out the operation on the basis of the intelligence reports.
He said that after an exchange of fire, the CTD neutralized three terrorists, but others managed to escape under the cover of the darkness.
He said that the died terrorists had been identified as Muhammad Naeem alias Abdul Nasir and Muhammad Karim, residents of Karak, who would have organized the Chamkani suicide explosion.
The third terrorist, Noor Nabi, belonged to the province of Nangarhar in Afghanistan. However, a local ISKP commander, Fazal Noor, and some of his partners have managed to flee.
During the operation, the security forces recovered three SMGs, twelve magazines, 135 laps and three tangles of the terrorists. The CTD said the terrorists planned a major attack which had been thwarted by a timely action.
A research operation was underway with a heavy deployment in the region, and the cord had been tightened to stop the fugitives.
An explosion targeted a police vehicle in the Chamkani police station in Peshawar on May 11. Two police officers were martyred and one was injured in the attack. ISKP is a group of ultra-Orthodox terrorist outfit in the Islamic State.
